I’ve always been fascinated by Jesus’ last words spoken from the cross. Known as the seven last words or sayings of Jesus, they represent a journey of forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph, and reunion.
Holy week is a time for reflection on the finished work of Jesus on the cross. With that in mind I’ve put together a devotion series titled, “The 7 Last Words of the Cross: Journeying to Easter.” My hope is that these daily devotionals will help you journey with Jesus to Easter, while contemplating the profound impact the cross still has on your life and the world.
Each day through Holy Week, starting with Palm Sunday, we’ll explore one of Jesus’ last words from the cross; words that still have the capacity to transform lives.
You can subscribe to the devotional by subscribing to my blog, and receive each daily devotion in your inbox every morning.
Or, you can download the pdf version here and read on any device, any time, forever. Feel free to print it as well.
Note: I won’t be publishing a regular blog post during Holy Week, rather, I’d encourage you to spend some time with this devotional or another. I personally read Matthew Ruttan’s daily devo found here: https://theupdevo.com
